After taking out an old bed in the front yard and removing our concrete patio in the back, we decided to build a spiral garden in the front. Check it out!
Your herb spiral is beautiful! I love that you can walk along the top of the wall. I used salvaged bricks and rocks from around my yard and from a free craigslist post so my walls are… eclectic…. haha, and not sturdy enough to walk on. I just built it this summer and it’s mostly filled with weeds and brush and compost ingredients (didn’t have much extra soil around). I will let it settle for the winter, top it off with soil in spring and plant. Well done. I’d love to see some images with some plant matter growing in there! This is my garden blog, zone 7 at the Jersey Shore. http://mynjgarden.com
Your garden looks great too! I couldn’t find the pictures of your spiral, could you post the link here? I often do the same thing with our new beds, but I plant green manure crops on top to prevent weed growth and encourage soil building.
